Don't get tangled in the lights this year let us hang them for you, we can use your lights or you can rent them from us, we'll even come back after the holidays and remove the lights, package them up and store them at our facility for you free of charge for next year! You just set the date you want them installed and you won't have to go up in the attic for anything. You don't even need to be there.
And during the season your lights will be set on timers so you won't have to plug or unplug anything in.

To manage the stress levels, you should avoid saying the following:
“You’ve got two red lights right next to each other, goober. You’re supposed to go yellow, green, red, blue, not yellow, red, red, green, blue…” (Not to mention the problems when calling your wife a goober! )
“Up a little higher. You can reach it. Go on, try.”
“What on earth do you do to these lights when you put them away every year? Tie them in knots?”

“You’ve got the whole thing on backwards. The electric plug thing should be down here at the bottom, not up at the top.”
“I don’t care if you have found another two strings, I’m done!”
